Relaxation massage
Optimum relaxation
A relaxation massage is meant to bring the body back into balance.
Tensed muscles and worries make you feel uncomfortable, creating even more tension. The muscles relax by massaging the body. Thoughts and concerns also fade into the background. This allows body and mind to recharge, they lose the waste that has accumulated over time and you can continue as reborn.
The relaxation massage lasts approximately one hour. We have a conversation in advance about the expectations and wishes that you have. This can, for example, concern issues that you want to focus extra attention on. But also whether the touches should be firm or rather softer. In addition, there are a number of disorders in which I am not allowed to do a massage, or only in consultation with a medical specialist. These are the so-called contraindications. Of course I also ask about that before we start.
During the massage you can choose soft music or just silence. I also work with different types of massage oil. There is a natural base oil (almond or apricot kernel). This does not smell in principle, but I can also add a few drops of essential oil. I also have other types of natural oil that already smells of themselves. All this oil absorbs well and therefore leaves no greasy feeling.
The massage consists of a series of effleurages (strokes). I start at the back and then move slowly to the shoulders, neck and head. Then I go to the legs through the arms and hands. Finally, it is the turn of the feet.
I alternate relaxing slow strokes along the length of the body with more firm kneading and faster effleurages across the width of the body. In this way the entire blood circulation is stimulated. As a result, more nutrients from the blood can be absorbed by the body, which increases the resistance. Waste that has accumulated over time is also easier to dispose of. The massage also stimulates the brain to add a body's own painkiller to the bloodstream. Due to these natural endorphins, any pain will be reduced or even massaged away.
After the massage there is time to relax with a cup of tea or a glass of water.
